Mixing and Using CocoPeat (Coco Peat) for your outdoor garden

 

Guide on mixing and incorporating Coco Peat to the top layer of your outdoor garden soil


Assumption-

You are using a standard compressed coco peat brick measuring 30 cm x 30 cm x 11 cm 


Background Calculations - 

Normally 20 to 25 % coco peat is mixed with garden soil for better results

Method of mixing with garden soil

The number of bricks would be calculated using the calculator above (you may suitably modify parameters base on your actuals) 

Evenly distribute the coco peat bricks across your garden area where you want coco peat to be incroporated

Water each brick till it breaks down completely and completely wetted.

Using a shovel mix the brick with the top soil at least to a depth of 5 cm

Repeat this procedure for all the bricks so as to cover entire garden area
